Miche’s new Holiday shells, the Snowflakes, are so charming – I can’t wait to get them! Let’s see how Miche is accessorizing them, and I’ll point out changes I plan to make. The first thing to recognize about accessorizing the lovely new Holiday shells from Miche, is that the Snowflake really doesn’t need any embellishment. They are lovely just as they are – as seen above. They make the perfect companion for any outing and will complement jeans and a tee-shirt as well as a dancing dress just as they are.
That being said, and genuinely meant, you all know how much I love to dress up my Miche bags! And using the fashion handles to give them a different style and feel is my favorite approach!
To the right, you will see that Miche is styling the Snowflake shells beautifully, and adding fashion handles that complement the design of the bags.
On the left, the Classic Snowflake ($24.95) is shown with the Miche Black Rope Handles - one of my all-time favorite accessories! This allows the Classic to be worn comfortably over the shoulder and lends greater texture and refinement to the look. This is a beautiful selection, and one I would use and recommend for all three sizes. 
I know what you are thinking – that the rope handles are too large for the Petite? You are wrong! Not only do they nicely complement the Petite Skylar left ($18.95) – another fabulous choice for a winter Petite shell – but they make the handle more substantial feeling. In my view, with the Miche Black Rope Handle ($19.95), the Petite seems more like a woman’s small purse, and less like a little girl’s purse – just my opinion.
So – while I do love my black rope handles, and think they would be just as great on the Demi and the Petite as they look on the Classic above – they are not – quite – what I would choose…
I have gone back and forth on whether to use the Pewter Rope Handles ($19.95) or the black with the silver Miche Demi Kinsley ($34.95) (shown left) To a degree, I suppose it depends upon my outfit, but I think for the wintry Snowflake shells, I will use these silver rope handles instead of the black. It could go either way, but I’ll show you below the look that has inspired me.
The only other, but important note, I have for making your Classic Snowflake look her very best is the pockettes. 
In my view, the Pockettes available in black or brown (but should be black for the Snowflake shell) are a must have for any Classic lover! They add additional storage to any fold-over style Classic shell like the silver Miche Classic Cinthia ($29.95) shown right, but just as important – they give a finished and refined look to the ends of the Classic bag that is missing with the fold over shell. Viewed straight on
, the pockettes do not bulge or show, leaving the straight, clean lines of the Classic we all know and love. But the storage added is wonderful, and the finished look to the ends of the bag is truly necessary in my view. For $12.95, any Classic fold-over shell now has added storage and refinement. Simply slide the Pockettes over the Classic base before adding the shell, and Voila! Fashion magic! :) BTW – Won’t Cinthia be fabulous for the holidays?
Now we come to the Miche Demi Snowflake ($34.95), pictured right. I know I just said the Rope Handles in Black or Pewter would be great for the Demi, but I also really like the use of the Silver Interchangeable Chain Handles ($24.95) with the black strap. The shine off the links is lovely, and a particularly nice accent for the wintry-grey shell and the snowflake flurries.
I like to carry my Demi with one handle attached to a 1.5-inch carabiner at each end, “hobo-style”, as you see with the Demi Kinsley above. I would use the same attachment for the rope handles or the chain – the extra carabiner causes the rope or strap to easily lie straight relative to the bag. My decision of rope or chain handle would depend upon which better complements the design of the specific shell
Although I would use the Black or Pewter Rope Handle for the Petite Snowflake ($14.95) , you can see that Miche has styled it with the Petite Long Handle ($5.95). I must admit that I do like the elegance of the long lines of that handle, and the look of the Petite carried at your hip.

OK – now we come to the last consideration for accessorizing any Miche bag – to charm or not to charm?
Normally, I am inclined to add a charm to the shells with no pattern, and leave the charm off the shells with a pattern. I don’t want to risk “gilding the lily” by adding an embellishment that will only compete with the design of the shell itself. But somehow, in this case, perhaps because it is for the holidays, or because of the snowflake theme – I think adding the snow-white Miche purse charmer Taffy will just enhance the over all effect. To the right, you can see the fabulous combination made by the silver Demi Kinsley shell, the Pewter Rope Handles and the Taffy charmer ($12.95). When I imagine the Snowflake purse in person – I think the effect will be even better with the darker shade of the shell and the cheery snowflake pattern.
