Miche and Me About Town ~ Demi Hope Blue and a Padre Game!

Miche Demi Hope (Blue) and I took in a Padre game this week – and it was fabulous!

We arrived down town well before the game began, and enjoyed strolling through the Gas Lamp District. Above, you will see a shot from a pedestrian bridge arching over the street in front of the stadium. Demi Hope (Blue) was looking her cheerful best, with a single handle of the Miche silver interchangeable handles with the black strap, to carry her hobo-style. A Kat’s Kreations purse charm completes the look.

At first, I chose the Hope Blue to join me simply because she is blue – close enough to Padre blue – and what better message than one of Hope and Joy to take to a baseball game? But as I watched the team take the field, I was struck by what a very long journey they have traveled this season of adversity.

Plagued with injuries, financial set backs and instability, a messy divorce, loss of experienced players, and a seemingly endless string of lost games, this Padres team faced virtually universal disrespect from fans and pundits alike, as well as other teams around the league. Inexperienced, out of their depth, some thought out of their league, this group of players, many of them rookies called up from the minors, came together as a real team. We saw many firsts this season. First Major League game, 1st hit, 1st strike out, 1st win.

Truly grateful to have the chance to play Major League ball, we saw players loving every moment of the game. They even seemed to enjoy their blunders, for they came up smiling – and learned the lesson. For the love of the game and the joy in the opportunity to play it, they truly melded as a team, and came roaring out of last place to begin playing the most exciting baseball in the Major Leagues. Youngsters no one had ever heard from started making the highlight reels night after night. And they began winning. And winning some more. And yes, they won the night Demi Hope and I were there, in their 2nd game of a 3 game sweep of the Saint Louis Cardinals – last year’s champions.

It was a wonderfully fun night at the ball park, and a terrific reminder as well. Love what you do, do it to the very best of your abilities, ignore the nay sayers, and be grateful for your blessings. Play the game right, and good things will happen! :)

Miche bags are my favorite fashion accessory (big surprise!) for many reasons. I love the way one purse can quickly and easily be changed to a completely different look and style by changing the outer “shells”. This enables me to keep my one purse organized – never at a loss for which purse has my checkbook! – but always stay stylish by complimenting or providing an accent to my outfit. And I love playing with the different looks this one fashion accessory can give me. Not just the interchangeable shells, but all of the ways to customize by using different handles, incorporating charms, etc. In this post, we are going to look at some of the many looks of the Cinderella-sized Miche bag – the Demi.

Miche’s Fall Fearless Line Close-ups ~ Join our Miche Party!

The latest Miche Collection is entitled Fearless ~ and the shells really live up to their inspiration! Get acquainted with some of the newest looks, and learn how you can join in our first ever nation-wide Miche Party!

The new Demi Kendra is calling my name! Chic, sophisticated, edgy, and supremely confident! A leopard print bag sporting a black strap belt with oversized rivets and latch that accents but clearly cannot contain Kendra’s energy. The Miche name plate and other decorative hardware are in antique brass. I will accessorize this bag with the new carabiner rings and the interchangeable chain handles in antique brass.

The new Demi Eve is as chic and necessary an addition to your wardrobe as the Little Black Dress she reminds me of. Soft, subtle gathering and an intricate basket weave inset panel make this stylish, versatile, basic black bag anything but boring! A back zippered pocket rounds out a perfect presentation.

Did you think all of the new fall releases were all going to be in autumnal, neutral shades? Guess again! Miche Celebrates Hope with Inspirational Bags and Shells!

These words of strength and determination are quotes from cancer survivors who have inspired the Miche Hope line of shells. Proceeds from each sale are donated to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, where 100% of all Miche donations go directly to research for a cure. Every 3-4 months, Miche releases an entirely new design of Hope shells and retires earlier models. For a limited time, all of those pictured above are available to order — Miche Hope shells new for May, sentimental favorites and newly available retired shells alike.

Miche initiated this campaign in 2010 as a way of giving back to the community. With the support of customers like you, they have now donated just over $2,000,000 to fund the search for a cure.
