Miche and Me About Town ~ Demi Hope Blue and a Padre Game!

Miche Demi Hope (Blue) and I took in a Padre game this week – and it was fabulous!

We arrived down town well before the game began, and enjoyed strolling through the Gas Lamp District. Above, you will see a shot from a pedestrian bridge arching over the street in front of the stadium. Demi Hope (Blue) was looking her cheerful best, with a single handle of the Miche silver interchangeable handles with the black strap, to carry her hobo-style. A Kat’s Kreations purse charm completes the look.

At first, I chose the Hope Blue to join me simply because she is blue – close enough to Padre blue – and what better message than one of Hope and Joy to take to a baseball game? But as I watched the team take the field, I was struck by what a very long journey they have traveled this season of adversity.

Plagued with injuries, financial set backs and instability, a messy divorce, loss of experienced players, and a seemingly endless string of lost games, this Padres team faced virtually universal disrespect from fans and pundits alike, as well as other teams around the league. Inexperienced, out of their depth, some thought out of their league, this group of players, many of them rookies called up from the minors, came together as a real team. We saw many firsts this season. First Major League game, 1st hit, 1st strike out, 1st win.

Truly grateful to have the chance to play Major League ball, we saw players loving every moment of the game. They even seemed to enjoy their blunders, for they came up smiling – and learned the lesson. For the love of the game and the joy in the opportunity to play it, they truly melded as a team, and came roaring out of last place to begin playing the most exciting baseball in the Major Leagues. Youngsters no one had ever heard from started making the highlight reels night after night. And they began winning. And winning some more. And yes, they won the night Demi Hope and I were there, in their 2nd game of a 3 game sweep of the Saint Louis Cardinals – last year’s champions.

It was a wonderfully fun night at the ball park, and a terrific reminder as well. Love what you do, do it to the very best of your abilities, ignore the nay sayers, and be grateful for your blessings. Play the game right, and good things will happen! :)

September 2012 Miche Luxe Line Review and All the Details! :)

Miche’s newest Luxe Line is proving to be a sensation! The new high-end line of interchangeable shells with intricate styling, bold detailing, and lots of bling appeals to a large segment of the existing Miche fan base, but is drawing attention from others as well.

I have just received my new Luxe shells, so I am going to fill you in on all the details I didn’t know until I saw and felt them myself. If you are still trying to decide whether to order a Luxe shell, or which one(s) to order, I hope this will provide all of the information you need to decide. Let’s take a closer look at Luxe:

The color of the Miche Luxe Classic Carmel and the Luxe Demi Lincoln is the deep maroon of the description, not the lighter rosy color that I see in the images on the computer. I took these pictures of Carmel to show you her true colors. Much closer to the “oxblood” that will be so prevalent this fall, the color is deep, dark and rich. This is the hottest color for Fall 2012, and is considered a fashion neutral, so she will go with everything in your current and coming fall wardrobe.

The many brads that twinkle and gleam are all around her shell, not just the front and the sides, but the back as well.

The antique brass detailing is carried out throughout the matching handles, the carabiner rings, and even the feet on the bottom of the bag!

Luxe Classic Carmel is truly lovely and very chic. Even the name plate continues the rivet detailing. This shell, complete with the matching handles, key fob and dust cover is $64.95. Her “big sister”, Luxe Demi Lincoln with the same color and styling details is $79.95. These limited editions are not yet low on inventory, and are available to order by clicking here.

You new Miche Luxe shell arrives already encased in its soft, silky dust cover, imprinted with Miche Luxe. (Of course I took the picture from the wrong side!) I really liked this presentation, and I am thinking of sending a Luxe shell to a dear friend. How nice to know it will arrive looking so pretty even before she sees the shell!

The Miche Luxe Demi Aspen, and her “little sister”, the Luxe Classic Sedona, are quite fabulous! They, too, continue their signature chain detailing from the front, to the back, so they look equally fabulous from any angle!

Above, you see my Luxe Demi Aspen from the back. I am thrilled to see the woven chain integrated into the back as well as the front. Only the Miche Luxe name plate indicates one side is front and the other is back. This is a personal pet peeve of mine. I find a lovely floral vest, or beautiful print sweater, but the back is plain! I cannot abide that. I was so pleased to see how fully and completely designed the Luxe line is – not a corner cut!

You will see that I am showing her with one, chain embellished handle to carry her hobo-style. This is not because of any problem with the shell coming loose! This shell has 3 magnetic strips on each side, and I could not shake it loose as hard as I tried! I like the look of the Demi carried with one strap, and for the Luxe, I used the carabiners from the other embellished handle to attach to the bag, then to the handle’s carabiner. This way the handle lies flat and easily shows its beautiful detailing.

The handles for the Aspen and the Luxe Classic Sedona are heavy with all of the carabiner and chain detailing. Too heavy? Hmmmm… I want to say “she ain’t heavy, she’s my Luxe!” but that’s me. If you are sensitive to the weight of a bag, and that part is important to you, you would be better off with the maroon or grey series Luxe shells. While the Luxe Classic Sedona does have end pockets, the Luxe Demi Aspen does not. Personally, I like that, because I feel the end pockets on a Demi shell give it a more casual appearance, while it does not on the Classic, in my opinion. And I am in love with the contrast of edgy style and refined design of the Aspen. Yes, I call mine “Biker Chic”. When I asked my husband what he thought of the new shell, he asked “Which one? Oh, you mean the really cool one?” Yes, he was referring to Aspen, so there you have a man’s opinion, too! These are limited edition shells, but the inventory on them has not yet run short. The Luxe line of shells are just as versatile and interchangeable as the traditional Miche shells you love, but with lots of bling, edgy looks and undeniable allure. The Luxe line was created to have the look and feel of luxury without the burden of a heavy price tag. There is no need to have a million dollars in the bank to look and feel like a million dollars! Each Luxe shell comes with matching handles that continue the design elements of the shell, a coordinating imprinted Miche Luxe key fob and a dust cover for careful storage. With so much stressing of the limited quantities, some customers, as well as some representatives, have become a bit panicked about the possibility of these shells selling out over the weekend. Corporate has now assured us they feel they have ordered enough that most of the shells should last the month of September. They also encourage us to ensure that all parties and orders for these beauties are planned for the first half of the month so no customers are disappointed.

So what to make of this somewhat conflicting information? I no longer think there is a danger of these shells selling out the first weekend. Corporate had taken a long look at the quick sell outs we have had this year, as well as all of the buzz around the new Luxe line before making this announcement.

But I would suggest that if you have made your decision – don’t wait to place your order. And I think it wise to plan to order your favorite(s) before the middle of the month.

Miche Luxe Almost Here! Classic Base Sale + Free Purse Charm!

The Miche Luxe line is almost here! Are you excited? Are you ready?

I am hearing from many of you how excited you are about the new Miche Luxe shells, and the plans you are making to ensure you will get your favorite(s) before they sell out. For the ladies in St. Paul MN planning to stake out the opening of your local Starbucks and jump into lattes and online to place your orders – I love the spirit! For those who are planning to watch round the clock with friends in shifts for the first availability – team work is beautiful! For those who are placing pre-orders with me, so you are assured of getting your favorites, but keeping your schedule – or late sleep – sane, I admire the practicality!

Whatever works best for you – that’s what matters. Just be sure not to let a favorite slip away. Miche keeps telling us that the supplies are limited for the September 2012 release of their new Luxe line. I don’t want any of you to be disappointed, and to miss out. I know the quick sell out of the Demi Ivy and Demi Glory still rankles with many of you, and I understand! At least we now know in advance that these shells are available only in limited quantites.

This just in: Miche corporate believes that they have ordered sufficient quantities for the Luxe line that the shells should last through September. This is not a guarantee, but they have taken recent short sales into account in placing their orders, and they have released this statement after reviewing all of the excited buzz about the new Luxe line. Whew! That’s a relief! There is even a possibility that if sales are really fast, that they will bring back a few of the most popular shells in early December for the Holiday Season! Yay!!!

I know it’s new, but what do you think of the new Miche Luxe line? Are you in love? Or do the original Miche bag shells still claim your heart? Either way, you can get a free purse charm with your $70 order – see details below.

The newest Miche Luxe line to be released September 1st, 2012, is generating a lot of buzz! So far the reviews seem to be very positive, yet I hear some customers saying they really want to be able to keep ordering more traditional Miche bag shells. Not to worry!
